The Palms Youth Camp & Convention Center

In March 2006, God opened the door for us to purchase this 15 acre youth camp. It was a Presbyterian camp and institute that had been abandoned for about ten years. Now it will serve Baptist Churches from all over Mexico as well as the Ambassador Baptist Bible College and Seminary.

The Palms Camp contains three staff houses, pecan and citrus trees and tilled land for raising vegetables. There is also a one-story institute facility 50′ x 150′ with a porch completely around it. This building contains a kitchen and dining room, classrooms and temporary dormitories, a chapel and school office.

We have a three phase plan for this expanding ministry:

Phase 1 is to recondition the camp and buildings which had been abandoned for several years, in order to begin having youth camps and retreats for the many churches in Monterrey and the northeastern quadrant of Mexico. We have begun this process, and it is an on-going project.

Phase 2 is to move the Bible College to the camp. This was done in September 2007. The facility needs additional electrical work and roof repair, a girls dorm, and a multi-purpose open-air building for the camps and graduations. There are three houses being used for staff and a married couples’ dorm. This move has given us much more room to expand and to draw more interest to the school through the youth camps and children’s home. Plus several acres are already tilled and planted to help raise vegetables for the school and home.

Phase 3 is to establish the Esther’s Home for Children. We hope to begin the home in the near future. There is a duplex house on the property that will serve this ministry well. It will have to be renovated before we can use it. We also have plans to begin Manna Feeding Centers to help care for the poor children, to reach their families with the Gospel and to start new churches.
